The 23nd Annual RISLOV REUNION Will Take Place On JULY 16-18, 2010
The Rislov families were arriving and some tents  were set up for the weekend.
Art was Saturday's breakfast "BOSS" and was already busy at the grill and giving orders to son-in-law Tim.
Art's call went out "The cakes are ready, so come and get them."
Cakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage links.
The Saturday morning breakfast treats were on the table.
Even the cook takes a break for his meal.
The crowd gathered for the family games.
The competitors were getting ready.
The conversations were only beginning.
The dice toss and the shoe kicking contest
The disc toss and the bag toss games.
Ladder golf offered quite a challenge to the competitors.
The washer toss tested the tossing ability of both young and old.
Saturday's dinner also provided a variety of food.
More conversations during the dinner hour.
Card games provided some entertainment for the evening.
We also celebrated Alda's  90th birthday at the reunion.
The remaining Rislov elders include Donald, Alda, and Wallace.

Dianne Sumner shared the following craft items made by our Grandma Lydia Rislov.
What are the plans for the 2010 reunion:

  • Saturday Morning - Competition Begins with the Norwegian Olympics!  Deb Burdine the Norwegian Olympics
    Master will have fun and games!  Any ideas for specific activities are welcome!

  • Saturday Afternoon - Learn How to Make Lefse!  Dianne Sumner will bring her lefse making skills to camp &
         help anyone who wishes to take a shot at it!   You can roll it out and bake your own lefse!

  • Suggestions for Saturday Evening - Contact Donna Mae!
The Pickerel Lake Bible Camp is located on the east side of the lake near Grenville, SD and the camp phone number
is (605) 486-4486.  Motels are available in the area.   Pickerel Lake is north of Waubay in northeastern South Dakota.
Family Tree Updates  will be ready!!! There is a $3 printing charge per set, for those who have not already paid

CAMP COSTS!  $5 PER DAY PER PERSON or $10 FOR THE WEEKEND PER PERSON

DONATIONS WILL BE APPRECIATED FOR:  PAPER PRODUCTS, MILK & DRINKS which will be furnished and other
MISCELLANEOUS COSTS.

Let’s try this AGAIN for 2010!  Families will be assigned a meal...to buy the groceries, prepare the food, and clean up
afterwards. This includes taking care of the left-over groceries too!  That would include the main dish, bread or rolls
and some side dishes.

  • Friday Night...Nelson, Zembrycki and Wallace Rislov families.
  • Saturday Morning...Albertson family.
  • Saturday Noon...Paulson family.
  • Saturday Night...Donald Rislov, Thompson and Froslie families.
  • Sunday Brunch (9-11 am)...Potluck (Donuts, rolls, toast, etc...whatever you would like to bring)

Anyone can still bring snacks, desserts and fruit for anytime use.
